Upon the passing of Sherry Linscott's brother, photographer & watercolor artist, Michael John Looney, the family set out looking for a way to honor Michael Looney’s last request to “share his art with others”. In September 2006, Bishop Hill Fine Arts opened in honor of artist Michael John Looney, who was long a photographer & artist fond of creating historical building/scenes and Rail Road scenes. Additionally, the art of 5 other artisans were featured in the shop as well, and in a matter of a few short months, the shop has grown to embrace the artwork of over 44 + local & area artisans featuring a huge variety of handmade merchandise.
Demonstrations are offered at different times throughout the year. Check out our website for more details about artists, special sales, events, and demonstrations. Look for our Welcome easel / flag in front of our shop…conveniently located next to the Post Office in the same building.
