Hand quilting demonstration at the Village Smithy in Bishop Hill. Marilyn Nelson has owned and operated The Village Smithy for over 20 years. She has more than 30 years experience quilting in the tradition handed down by her Swedish ancestors. Hand quilting and machine quilting can both be seen by visitors to the shop. Here Marilyn is quilting a "turning circles into stars" pattern quilt on an antique quilting frame made in Bishop Hill.
